More and more Muslims that have arrived in North America are making sure they stay Sharia compliant by getting Islamic loans that avoid riba. However, there are others that are taking even more precautionary measures and deciding on the home that’s right for them even before they get the money to make a purchase. Here’s just a few of the questions they’re asking themselves.

  • How many bedrooms do we need? This is a question that will be different for various types of families. For young people just starting out, you’ll want to consider the size of the family you want to have while you’re living at that location. If you’ve got older relatives, they might need the extra space if and when they come to live with you.
  • The location is just as important. Before you fall in love with any place and start imagining yourself in it, you need to decide on what kind of property best suits your requirements. The countryside is almost always more peaceful than the city, but there are less amenities there. On the other hand, there’s more to do in town, but generally less peace of mind.

The right Islamic finance will keep you Sharia complaint, buy you need to pick a location to enjoy your new home as well.
