Tools you’ll need for basic home repairs

Not everything you’ll need to do with a new home has to do with Islamic finance. Once you buy that first or second place, you’ll come to see that having a little know-how when it comes to simple maintenance can save you money in those all important first few years when things are tight.

For example, there’s no getting around finding a good pair of adjustable wrenches. You can even find the ones at your local home improvement stores that have self locking grips that adjust automatically. Of course you’ll need that old standby, a good hammer, and buying a screwdriver with several home tool kitinterchangeable bits saves the trouble of looking for lost parts.

When it comes to power tools, you need to be more selective. A skill saw is great if you plan on doing some of the more involved work you’ll need done around the house yourself, but you need to be well aware of the safety precautions that should be practiced with all power tools. Another home tool that can increase your equity and complement your Islamic loans is a power drill. If you want the portability of one with a battery, make sure it has the power to do the jobs you need it for.
