A Winter Home Maintenance Checklist

We all know that getting Islamic finance is the right move for those looking to stay Sharia compliant and away from riba. However, when it’s cold outside, you need to protect the investment you have in your home by making sure you take the time to look after a few simple maintenance chores.

When the weather permits, you should take a walk around your property to look for anything that’s been damaged by the elements. For example, sometimes leaving an ice buildup on an outdoor air conditioner can break the protective cover over the top and the inside elements like the fan can get bent. Removing this ice when you can often prevents further repairs in the spring.

If you have a crawl space under the house, make sure the vents are all closed to prevent any snow, water, or ice from getting under.home insulation

There’s work to be done inside as well. Changing furnace filters is a necessity to keep your family warm and the unit running at peak proficiency during the Winter months. Maintenance is a integral part of staying Sharia compliant and away from riba, but your house needs some attention to protect the equity you have invested there.
